Scandinavian Pine Brutalist Bar Cabinet by Hans Frydendal for Christian IV
By Hans Frydendal 1, Christian IV
Located in Rødding, DK
A Scandinavian pine brutalist bar cabinet system by Hans Frydendal for Christian IV, Denmark, 1970s. Three freestanding modular units designed to function together as a drinks cabinet and bar — combining glazed upper display cupboards, a built-in pine wine rack, open shelving, and multiple deep drawers throughout. The block-cut pine pulls are carved directly from the same material, consistent across all three modules and typical of Frydendal's craft-led approach. An original brass interior light is fitted inside one of the glazed sections, warming the display area. Well-figured grain with natural knots and an even amber patina throughout. Good generous scale. A well-resolved and highly usable bar cabinet...
