A Black Lacquered and Ormolu Mounted Bureuplat, 19th Century Description: An exceptionally fine black lacquered and ormolu mounted bureau plat in the style of Jacques Dubois, the tooled red leather writing surface to graduated edge and leaf corner clasps, over straight fronted frieze of three framed japanned drawers with landscapes, each with foliated escutcheon handles, the cabriole legs with satyr mask chutes reeded to foliated sabots and paw feet, the rear frieze with conforming feigned drawers, each short side with a large foliate mount in framed japanned panel with cranes.
