About the Item

Rare and impressive PERIOD Elizabethan dining table of substantial size. The top is made from four planks, and is banded at the ends to prevent shrinkage. The apron is hand carved decorated. The legs are massive, and are hand carved and turned. They are joined by simple stretchers and a cross stretcher. This table is such a wonderful find. It is only the second period Elizabethan table we have ever had the pleasure to offer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an actual piece of 16th century English. history - think of the stories this table could tell! The apron measures 23.5 inches in height.
