An iconic T40 extendable dining table designed by Pierre Chapo and handcrafted in France during the 1970s.
Constructed entirely from solid elm, the T40 is one of Pierre Chapo's most celebrated designs, admired for its sculptural architecture, exceptional craftsmanship, and ingenious traditional joinery. Its bold yet understated form embodies Chapo's philosophy of honest materials and timeless design.
With a diameter of 110 cm (43.3 in.), the table comfortably seats four. Fitted with its two original extension leaves, it extends to 210 cm (82.7 in.), allowing seating for up to ten people while maintaining its outstanding stability and elegant proportions.
This example has undergone a complete professional restoration. The table has been entirely restored by skilled craftsmen, including a full refinishing of the solid elm, resulting in an impeccable presentation.
