About the Item

An exceptional 17th century English oak gateleg table with exquisite thick bobbin turned legs joined by another variant of bobbin turned stretchers and leaf supports. Showing wonderful colour, wear and patina that only age can create. The oval top with a rich lustre with figured grain and wear around the edges of the extendable leaves. In good solid condition and all but original with the original hinges. The bottom of the table top has some later added brace supports. 53cm wide when the leaves are down
