About the Item

Circa 1730-50 Irish drop leaf table. Mahogany, raised on cabriole legs with sculptural cartouche & acanthus carved knees & returns ending in ball & claw feet. Drawer is full depth of the table. Butterfly repairs for old splits in the leaves, old refinishing now mellowed with age. Replaced hardware. Overall condition commensurate with nearly 300 years of age & use. Provenance: Otto Zenke for the Johnson mansion, High Point, NC. With leaves up: 57.75" d. 48.5" w., 28.75" d., 29 1/16" h.
