About the Item

An elegant pair of French Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical style black leather studded side tables / nightstands attributed to the French artist, Pierre Lottier. The tables are rectangular and present serene, minimalist forms and lines. They have triangular form legs and completely covered in black leather and secured with complimentary brass studs. Pierre Lottier was imbedded among the circle of artists in the south of France that included Picasso and Jean Cocteau. Due to his relationship with Cocteau, he left France for Barcelona where he designed the residence for the American actress, Ava Gardner.
