About the Item

Carpenter's workbench from the 19th Century showcases solid maple wood construction with steel hardware and vise mechanism. The piece features integrated tool storage compartments built into the trestle base, designed for organizing carpenter's tools during active workshop use. Original manufacturer tin label remains affixed to the side panel. Paint splatter across the surface reflects decades of craftsman work. Robust trestle-style legs provide stable support, connected by horizontal stretchers that reinforce the substantial frame. The steel vise with wheel adjustment mechanism mounts to the left side of the work surface. Built-in storage compartments within the base structure maintain the functional organization carpenters relied upon during the period. The maple wood shows heavy weathering with dry areas and visible wear consistent with age and extensive use. Surface displays accumulated patina and paint marks from years of workshop activity.
