About the Item

A good quality Queen Anne style occasional table with a fixed rectangular tapestry top set beneath glass. The table is constructed in a warm, dark mahogany-toned wood, with a molded raised frame surrounding the textile panel and a deep box-form apron below. The tapestry top displays a decorative botanical design with scrolling leaves and flowers in muted blue, green, cream, ochre, and burgundy tones, giving the piece the character of an intimate English country house accent table made to display and protect an antique-style woven textile surface. The table is raised on four slender cabriole legs with shaped knees, carved line detail, and rounded pad feet, recalling early Georgian and Queen Anne furniture vocabulary. Its compact scale makes it especially useful as a drinks table, bedside table, lamp stand, occasional table, or decorative accent table. The combination of fixed tapestry top, glass-covered textile panel, molded wooden frame, cabriole legs, pad feet, floral tapestry decoration, and warm patinated surface gives the piece a refined traditional character, while the small proportions make it highly versatile for layered interiors. Measures: 27.25" h x 16.25" w x 11.25" d.
