B.S.P Side Table 2 by Atelier SOHN Dimensions: D 25 x W 43 x H 52 cm. Materials: Waste plastic dust and recycled plastic. Donghoon,Sohn is a Founder / Designer of Atelier SOHN. He understands the properties of objects and identifies their variables based on observations of the materials and forms around us and after that defines the areas in which designers can intervene. This approach to finding points of contact between designer thinking and properties of objects presents works of pursuing sensory transition by newly defining the making process. He graduated from the Korea National University of Arts (K`arts) and took a Samsung design membership for 2 years (2009 - 2010). Then he started his professional career at Samsung Electronics Headquarters (2010 - 2016). At Samsung, he worked on product design and user experience design through various projects such as laptops, wearable devices, and smartphones. Also, he won several international awards like the IF Award, Red Dot Award, and Pin Up Design Award. At the same time, He has worked for Atelier SOHN (2017 - Present). He received the attention of various media as a rising designer through exhibitions at Milan Design Week and Paris Design Week. He graduated from Ecal / University of Art and Design in Lausanne (2016 - 2017). Until now, He has successfully collaborated with global luxury brands such as Bottega Veneta, Vacheron Constantin, Rimowa, Christofle, Chopard, and Hotel Trois Couronnes. He not only has successful stories in the IT industry but also proves his worth in art direction, object and collaboration projects in the living industry, and luxury brands.
