Contemporary Side Table with Gold Chinoiserie Elements This table model, designed in the style of a contemporary vision of chinoiserie, is part of the " Forbidden City" collection. The corners of the table have 4 figures representing the tea ceremony, hand carved in solid wood, 24 K gold plated, ebony veneer. The idea of the design is inspired by the park of San Souci Palace, where there is a famous Chinese tea pavilion with similar gilded figures that decorate the exterior. The use of chinoiserie elements and combining them with the contemporary furniture models, laid the basis for this small collection. The model fits perfectly into both classic and modern interiors. At Alexander’s Collection, we specialize in bridging the historical with the avant-garde. The Contemporary Chinoiserie Side Table, a cornerstone of our 'Forbidden City' collection, represents a daring fusion of 18th-century exoticism and sleek, modern silhouettes. This piece is a tribute to the legendary Chinese tea pavilion at Sanssouci Palace. The table's architecture is defined by four masterfully hand-carved figures representing the traditional tea ceremony. Sculpted from solid wood and finished in opulent 24K gold plating, these figures are set against the deep, mysterious grain of a premium ebony veneer. The design philosophy behind this collection was to extract the playful elegance of Chinoiserie and transplant it into a contemporary furniture framework. The result is a versatile masterpiece that commands attention in both grand classical estates and minimalist high-end penthouses. It is more than a table; it is a narrative of cultural heritage reimagined for the 21st-century connoisseur. This is a limited edition collection, the number of designer's repeats is 10.
