About the Item

A beautifully hand-turned and handcrafted large version of our rippled side table, created from solid English oak and designed to showcase the sculptural possibilities of traditional woodworking. The design is defined by its flowing, organic forms. The rippled scoop base rises gracefully from the floor, creating a sense of movement and softness, while the underside of the tabletop mirrors these contours with a corresponding rippled profile. This thoughtful relationship between the upper and lower elements gives the piece a harmonious and balanced appearance from every angle. Crafted from selected solid English oak, the table celebrates the natural beauty of the timber, with its warm tones, distinctive grain, and enduring character. The generous proportions and sculptural silhouette allow it to function equally well as a side table, occasional table, end table, or statement piece within both contemporary and the more traditional interiors. Each table is individually handmade in London by our skilled craftsman using traditional techniques and meticulous attention to detail. The result is a bespoke piece of fine furniture that combines elegant form with exceptional craftsmanship. Hand-finished in durable, environmentally friendly oils that enhance the natural beauty of the oak while providing lasting protection, this is a substantial and enduring piece designed to be enjoyed for generations. Alternative timber species are available upon request, including American black walnut, ash, and other selected hardwoods dependant on availability. We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials. These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use. By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we will continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces. These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
