About the Item

The 'Cloud' is a spectacular side table with structure in mirror polished stainless steel and top in Marquinia marble. The mirror-like finishing of the stainless steel creates different perceptions of this particular material and allows interesting reflections of light. Side table dimension: L 65 x W 52 x H 50 cm. Dimensions are customizable. Limited Edition of 45. Each table is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. We wanted to kidnap a cloud, slice it into thin sheets like it's done with blocks of marble. After, we take the central slab with the most beautiful pattern. To keep the cloud from escaping, we tied it on to weights, disguising them as light, golden legs. Now, that the cloud is fixed to the ground forever we dressed her in the colour of orange onyx which rested for millennia in the depth of heavy mountains. The cloud has become a table and nobody will ever unmask it. The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art & Design New York, ArtMiami. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SHIPPING: Please contact us for an independent shipping quote as we provide high quality shipping at competitive prices due to our frequency of shipping, relations with international shipping companies and the possibility to organize directly from Italy. We take care of the entire customs procedure and paperwork. On request we organize a white glove delivery and installation of the artwork inside of the property of the client. All shipments are ALL-RISK insured. We carefully pack all artworks in strong wooden crates to ensure safe transport. This service is done directly in our atelier and is complimentary. All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.
