About the Item

Tambor explores the dialogue between mineral and wood, bringing together two materials that feel both grounded and elemental. A polished white cast concrete top rests on a cylindrical base crafted from solid oak, creating a quiet balance between the smooth, stone-like surface of the concrete and the warmth of natural wood grain. The rounded form gives the piece a sculptural presence while maintaining a compact scale that fits easily within a variety of interiors. Each Tambor piece is handcrafted, allowing the natural character of the materials to remain visible and celebrated. The oak base is shaped through wood turning and finished by hand, highlighting the organic movement of the grain. The concrete top is individually cast and polished to achieve a soft mineral texture that contrasts subtly with the warmth of the wood beneath. Because every piece is made by hand using natural materials, slight variations in tone, grain pattern, and surface texture are part of the character of the design. These subtle differences make each Tambor unique while preserving the integrity of the original form. Versatile in function, Tambor can serve as a side table beside a lounge chair, a compact stool, or a small pedestal to display objects.
