About the Item

Gracefully proportioned and beautifully handcrafted, this 19th century Spanish console table reflects the strong character and skilled craftsmanship associated with traditional Spanish furniture. Handcrafted from surfaced walnut, the table features a long rectangular top supported by finely turned bobbin legs. A dramatic hand forged wrought iron stretcher connects the base, providing stability while adding a sculptural decorative element. The rich walnut surface and dark ironwork create a distinctive balance of warmth, texture, and architectural strength. Its narrow depth and generous length make it especially versatile in today’s interiors. Originally designed as a console, it can now be used beautifully behind a sofa, in an entry hall, beneath a large painting, or along a dining room or library wall. The open base gives the table a light presence while allowing the craftsmanship of the turned legs and iron stretcher to remain fully visible.
