About the Item

Chinese Export Porcelain Tray. Tray is presented on a custom-crafted hardwood stand. This elegant round table marries refined Qing Dynasty porcelain artistry with understated Western functionality, resulting in a versatile and highly decorative occasional table. The porcelain tray features a finely painted cobalt blue border accented with delicate gilt detailing. At center is a cobalt blue ring surrounded by gold leaf accents., providing a classical focal point, while the broad cavetto and gently raised rim reflects emphasizes the tray's sculptural presence. The tray rests securely within a custom-made hardwood stand that features tapered square legs and an X-shaped stretcher for stability. A thin brass band encircles the upper apron, subtly echoing the gilt detailing of the porcelain and providing a visual transition between ceramic and wood. The proportions are thoughtfully balanced, allowing the tray to sit flush within the frame while remaining removeable. In modern interiors, this piece will function beautifully as a side or occasional table in living areas. It can easily function as a tea or drink table in a traditional or transitional setting.
