About the Item

A handsome Danish Mid-Century Modern rosewood bar cart by Dyrlund, dating to circa 1970 and retaining the maker's stamp to the underside. Beautifully crafted in richly figured rosewood, the trolley displays the refined proportions and quality craftsmanship associated with Danish furniture of the period. The timber has a particularly attractive grain, with warm reddish-brown tones that are enhanced by the elegantly shaped frame. The two-tier design provides generous serving and storage space, with raised edges surrounding both surfaces to help secure bottles, glassware and serving pieces. Sculpted handles are seamlessly incorporated into the upper frame, while four castors allow the trolley to move smoothly and easily when entertaining. The rosewood has been professionally re-polished by specialist furniture polishers, bringing out the depth and natural figuring of the timber while retaining the character of this vintage piece. A stylish and practical example of Scandinavian Modern design, ideal as a cocktail trolley, drinks cart or serving table.
