About the Item

This gorgeous Louis XV style vanity or "poudreuse" dates back to the mid 19th century and comes from France. The woman's dressing table has a very pretty walnut veneer pattern. The middle part features a flip up mirror, flanked by two flip up doors covering the spacious side compartments, which were used for cosmetics and other personal items. The lower part of this elegant dressing table has two drawers and as a special feature an additional pullout writing surface with the original leather covering. The Louis XV style vanity comes fully refinished with a shellac hand polish.
