About the Item

Interlaced is a one-of-a-kind two-panel wall work handcrafted at the KalaRara Roma atelier in Rome using the studio’s signature MicroCristallo Fusione™ technique. The composition explores rhythm, adjacency and visual tension through interlocking fields of saturated colour. Prussian blue, aquamarine, emerald, cobalt, orange and amethyst are arranged in deliberate blocks that intersect and overlap. Rather than blending, the colours maintain their integrity, creating a composition defined by proximity and contrast. Each panel is constructed on a foundation of reclaimed beechwood and biodegradable jute. The surface is created through MicroCristallo Fusione™, a technique developed within the KalaRara Roma studio in which finely macerated Murano glass crystals are individually placed and fused by hand into a clear matrix. The resulting surface possesses depth, luminosity and subtle architectural relief. The two panels function as a dialogue. Hung slightly apart, the interval of wall becomes an active element within the work. Spacing of up to 10 centimetres provides curatorial flexibility, allowing the composition to respond to its architectural setting. Entirely handmade in Rome, Interlaced is a study in structure, fragmentation and cohesion, rendered through glass, colour and light. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming its one-of-a-kind production.
