About the Item

The Panthera Zinnia Marquetry Wall Art translates Patience & Gough’s Panthera pattern from textile into wood, using hand-laid veneers to create a richly detailed decorative artwork with depth, texture and movement. Pale figured veneers form the central ground of the composition, framed by rich blue eucalyptus and contrasted with flowing ochre foliage and stylised tiger motifs. Each veneer is selected for its grain and tonal variation, giving the surface a tactile, almost textile-like quality. A high-gloss lacquer enhances the natural figuring of the veneers and brings clarity to the marquetry detailing, allowing the composition to shift subtly as light moves across the surface. Displayed size: Height: 150 cm Width: 60 cm Depth: 1.8 cm The artwork is supplied with a French cleat so it hangs tight to the wall. Bespoke sizes, alternative colourways and larger continuous marquetry installations are also available, allowing the Panthera pattern to be adapted for walls, cabinetry and architectural interiors. Each piece is handcrafted to order and can be commissioned as an individual artwork or as part of a larger bespoke marquetry scheme.
