A very rare and original James Bond From Russia with Love / Bons Baisers de Russie (1963) Poster, French re-release c 1970s. This is one of the most visually stunning poster designs created by the famous French artist Boris Grinsson (1907-1999). The artwork on this piece was chosen for the front cover of the book 'The Official 007 Collection James Bond Movie Posters', which featured film posters from the collection of Eon Productions. Following the success of Dr. No, Eon Production's budget for this second Bond film was dramatically increased. This film was also directed by Terence Young and again stars Sean Connery as Bond. It was based on Ian Fleming's 1957 novel. The film was a huge box-office success. It heralded the debut of Desmond Llewelyn as Q, a role that he would play for thirty-six years. The artwork for this piece can be found in The Official 007 Collection, James Bond Movie Posters, Boxtree, 2001, page 31 and cover. This superb posters comes with a timeless made to measure custom perspex and black frame. CONDITION In Good Condition - Wear as expected with age, folded as it was issued and comes newly framed.
