Italian Metal 4-Light Sconces in Leaf Motif (unwired)

A French pair of 19th century sconces mounted on shapely carved and painted wood back-plates. This antique pair of sconces from France have been fashioned from 19th century brass/metal fixtures consisting of elaborately designed metal plaques, metal backplates, and a three-arm light fixture in leaf motif with metal flower petal wrapped bobèches, which have been mounted on 20th century wooden plaques. The carved wood plaque are shapely with scalloped top sides and rounded bottoms, and have a muted green finish which looks quite nice with the patina of the brass and metal. Note that this pair of light fixtures have older wiring. These French sconces will look lovely flanking at entrance within a foyer, or together gracing your bedroom or living room wall...

A pair of French single-light, forged-iron sconces in gold tone from the mid-20th century. This pair of vintage hand forged sconces from France each have a single torch-style light, which is supported by a rounded bar based to the rounded back-plate. Each of the torch lights support their ruffled iron bobèches with painted candle sleeves housed within their centers. The center back-plates are adorn with a vertical, textured bar with curled tips springing outward at each side and top. The gold over black forged-iron displays a hammered texture with nice patina.
