A striking minimalist found-object wall panel from 20th-century Japan: an authentic vintage Amado (storm door) sheet metal panel, subtly reinterpreted through the Japanese art of Mitate (finding poetic art in everyday functional objects). Framed on a solid wooden backing, the front face features a galvanized tin sheet (Buriki) coated in a muted, weathered blue-gray paint that has aged naturally over decades. The surface presents a rich, quiet texture with subtle scratches, fine nail indentations, and gentle color variations—evoking the contemplative aesthetics of modern abstract field paintings and Wabi-sabi philosophy.
