About the Item

Important Spanish School of the 17th century "Christ Carrying the Cross" Oil on canvas 73 x 60 cm with frame: 78cm x 65cm The work is inspired by ancient models, in particular by the painting by Andrea Solario preserved at the Musée d'Arts de Nantes and by the work by Sebastiano del Piombo preserved at the Prado in Madrid. This last painting inspired De Morales Luis, known as El Divino, who painted the same subject in several versions, one of which, considered original, is preserved at the Uffizi Museum in Florence. good condition
