Poster illustrator Jacques Bonneaud perfectly captures the mystery and eccentricity of Erich von Stroheim in the poster art for L'alibi, director Pierre Chenal's story of love and murder. CREATOR Artist: Jacques Bonneaud (1898-1971). Printer: St. Martin, Paris. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1937. MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Paper, Lithograph, Linen. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Professionally restored and linen backed. Some fading. DIMENSIONS H 63 in. W 47 in. HISTORY Jacques Bonneaud is a French movie poster artist, graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris. He is a specialist of lithographie technique, and has created more than 2000 film posters from 1920's to 1950's.
