Original antique engraving titled “Figure 5. 1 partie” from Antoine de Pluvinel’s Le Maneige Royal, published in 1666. This detailed early 17th-century equestrian print illustrates classical horse training techniques using pillars, set within the courtyard of the Louvre.
The scene shows M. de Belleuille instructing King Louis XIII in the art of horsemanship, with horses, trainers, courtiers, and architectural details rendered in fine engraved linework.
