This remarkable composition portrays an opulent Pompeian Revival dining room inspired by the rediscovery of classical Roman interiors and the refined historicism of the Belle Époque. The elegant scene features richly ornamented woodwork, painted ceilings adorned with vines and mythological motifs, classical wall decorations, and finely crafted furnishings. Architectural elements derived from ancient Pompeii are harmoniously combined with nineteenth-century French decorative taste, creating an interior of extraordinary sophistication and balance.
