Overview A bold abstract ceramic vase from the 1980s, glazed in vivid orange, with a flat, sculptural slab form and a jagged, dynamic silhouette pierced by smooth openings. A striking Space Age / postmodern decorative object that doubles as a vase. Description This vase captures the playful, futuristic spirit of 1980s design. Modelled as a flat ceramic slab, it rises in an irregular, spiky silhouette — part splash, part star, part flame — pierced by oval and dumbbell-shaped cut-outs that play solid against void. The surface is finished in a glossy, saturated orange glaze with a subtle speckle. Openings at the top allow it to hold flowers or single stems, though it is just as compelling left empty, as pure sculpture. Flat-sided and graphic, it reads almost like a frozen gesture suspended in space. Design & Function Conceived as a flower vase, with openings at the top, it works above all as a sculptural statement piece on a console, shelf, mantelpiece or sideboard.
