Virgin Mary Cuff Bracelet Miraculous Medal Devotional Gold Designer: J DAUPHIN The Virgin Mary Cuff is handcrafted in 14k gold plated brass, five hand hammered oval Miraculous Medals connected as an open cuff, each bearing the image of the Virgin Mary with deeply ridged surface detailing. It wraps the wrist as an open cuff that can be gently adjusted to fit. The Miraculous Medal comes from the vision given to Saint Catherine Labouré at the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, worn ever since as a sign of grace and protection. The Virgin Mary is the symbol of maternal protection and intercession. Five medals worn together carry that protection repeated across the wrist. J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. A multiple award winning designer highly recognised as an accessory and jewelry designer, her work has been featured in Vogue, W Magazine, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle across numerous countries, and carried by the world's most prestigious luxury stores including Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman, H Lorenzo, United Arrows, Isetan, Le Bon Marché, Matches, and Harvey Nichols. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
