Sacred Heart Cuff Bracelet Jesus Antique Silver Sculptural Vintage Paris Designer: J DAUPHIN The Sacred Heart Cuff is a rare archive piece, handcrafted in Paris and finished in antiqued silver plating over brass. The wide domed band carries a figure of Christ raised in high relief across the front, shown from the front on one side and from the back on the other as the band curves around, framed by a twisted rope border. The silver has aged to a deep iridescent patina. The opening measures 23 mm / 0.9 in and the diameter 53 mm / 2.1 in. The Sacred Heart is the oldest image of love that costs something, the heart shown open and given rather than kept, carried for compassion and for the courage to stay open when it would be easier to close. That the figure appears both front and back around the band is the point: it does not turn away, it is present from every side, and to wear it on the wrist is to keep that presence against the pulse. J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. A multiple award winning designer highly recognised as an accessory and jewelry designer, her work has been featured in Vogue, W Magazine, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle across numerous countries, and carried by the world's most prestigious luxury stores including Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman, H Lorenzo, United Arrows, Isetan, Le Bon Marché, Matches, and Harvey Nichols. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
