A fine pair of Native American Modernist ironwood and silver clip-on earrings. In sterling silver. With ironwood inlay to the center of each. By Kenneth Begay for the White Hogan shop. Begay is known as 'The Father of Modern Navajo Silver" and was one of the two owners of White Hogan. Secured with clip closures to the reverse. Marked to the reverse. Simply a wonderful pair of earrings! Date: Mid-20th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Kenneth Begay Marks: Marked to the reverse of each earring for Sterling / White Hogan's shop mark / KB for Kenneth Begay. Marked to each clip for Sterling.
