About the Item

Charming French Pearl Acorn Cluster Earrings with clip back fittings, attributed to Rene Boivin who created the same style with diamond pave caps and pearls in platinum in the 1930's. Each cornucopia motif holds 5 cultured pearls of graduating sizes, each topped with a golden acorn "cap". Each pearl acorn is articulated to move independantly. Lovely quality, design and weight as to be expected with French manufacture. There is even a tiny lever which releases a hidden post in the back of the ear clip for security, if needed. French eagle standard mark for 18K on each clip. 1940's France. Makers mark illegible, shows "R" on half a stamp, see images. Excellent condition. 1.75" long, .65 " wide.
