About the Item

A stunning, fine and impressive pair of antique 2.60 carat Basaltic sapphire and 1.32 carat diamond, platinum drop earrings; part of our diverse gemstone jewelry collections. These stunning, fine and impressive antique blue sapphire drop earrings have been crafted in platinum. The cluster settings are each ornamented with a feature millegrain decorated collet set round cut Basaltic sapphire, totalling 2.60cts. Each sapphire setting is encompassed with fifteen pavé set eight cut diamonds in a scalloped border. The apex of each cluster design bears an inverted tear-shaped setting ornamented with two further pavé set diamonds; this additional detail indicates the high quality of the earrings. Each feature setting suspends and articulates from a linear array of two collet set Old European cut diamonds, with a claw set diamond to the apex, completing the design. These antique earrings, for pierced ears, secure to the reverse with a French hook style fastening. These sapphire and diamond drop earrings have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. These impressive antique drop sapphire earrings are supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card, in addition to a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London*. Such period earrings in this combination are rare and indicates the high quality of the pieces; these earrings are the finest of their type you could hope to acquire. These blue sapphire and diamond drop earrings in platinum are best suited for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or meaningful personal celebrations. The graceful drop design adds movement and sophistication, creating a refined statement that is ideal for formal occasions, evening events and bridal wear. NOTE: * This documentation accredits the sapphire originating in Basaltic deposit and certifies that the gemstone shows no indications of heating. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone in these blue sapphire earrings. Condition These impressive sapphire drop earrings are excellent quality, set with stunning blue sapphires displaying fine color, brilliance and presence. The high color graded diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance; although clarity graded at P1, the feature diamonds predominantly bear no black inclusions and face up with a white color and fine brilliance. The earrings are an excellent gauge of platinum and are in excellent condition. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these stunning examples of blue sapphire jewelry.
