The day/night girandole earpendants are each designed with a shaped top centering a cabochon garnet, with detachable pendants suspending flexibly-set garnet drops and seed pearls, enhanced throughout with step-cut emeralds, old mine-cut diamonds, and black and white champlevé enamel, mounted in 18K gold. The pendant displays a central pierced decorated interlacing oval design ornamented with impressive hot enamel decoration, incorporating blue and green graduating tones. This antique enamel pendant suspends from a 14ct yellow gold chain via two ring loops to the apex of the frame, and secures to the reverse with a conventional ring bolt clasp fastening. The reverse surface of the Art Nouveau pendant is embellished with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To E.M.T. from W.E.F. 1st June 1910'.
