Quintessential Edwardian GIA Natural Saltwater PEARL, Unheated RUBY & DIAMOND la Belle Époque Bow LAVALIÈRE Platinum Gold Antique Necklace. Dating back to the first decade of the 20th Century, this rare and ravishing Lavalière Necklace beautifully exemplifies the refined feminine light and airy aesthetics of Edwardian era for which its jewels are so justly renowned. Rigorously intricate in both design and execution, expertly hand fabricated in platinum over 14K yellow gold ( tested), an utterly alluring array of elements associated with the long-vanished romantic period, featuring a delightful diamond-set bow and articulated rhombuses, one incrusted with tiny twinkling rose-cut and single-cut diamonds, plus an added pop of color courtesy a vibrant red calibre Unheated Rubies of the 2nd rhombus inside of which, like a drop of water, Briolette Diamond is trembling with every movement of wearer, and finishing touch of freely swinging Natural GIA certified Saltwater PEARL drop. True treasure from old world elegance par excellence. PEARL: The GIA certified white button PEARL is Not Treated, Saltwater with Pink overtone, 4.35-3.53mm. (Today, natural pearls are extremely rare and valuable, and largely limited to auction and collector's markets. That is the main reason why nearly all of the pearls available on the market are now cultured). DIAMONDS: Total diamond weight - 0.90carats, with include: Briolette Diamond 0.60ct , K-L in color SI2 in clarity , measurements 3.55-3.27-6.37mm Mixed shapes of Old European, rose and single cut side diamonds estimated weight of 0.30ct , F-I in color I clarity. Condition: The condition is great with only slight scuffing commensurate with age. The pearl is lustrous and shiny, and there is a sign of expertly done repair to the bow base.
