About the Item

A piece of history. This very important necklace we bought from a major auction house over 10 years ago. We sold the original old mine cut necklace. The buyer was only interested in the necklace at that time. We then duplicated the original necklace but using modern round brilliant cut diamonds. The detachable pendant is all original true old mine cuts. The box is also original to the piece, however, the stamping was only on the necklace and not the pendant. We will just sell the item as a "non brand name" piece. The custom 15 inch necklace (circa 2006) is made of 18k rose gold. 37 diamonds totaling 17.34 Cts make up this necklace. The center biggest diamond on the necklace is 2.8 cts. The original locket pendant (circa 1850) is made up of 39 antique old mine cut diamonds totaling 4.25 Cts. The center old mine cut heart shaped diamond is 1.45 Cts by itself. You can wear this important necklace in many different ways. Just the necklace, with the pendant facing both ways, with a chain necklace and with the pendant facing both ways. We would like to sell this as a set with the original box. We would also entertain selling just the necklace or just the pendant. Please refer to the detailed photos. A collector would want this piece for their collection.
