A fine antique silver card case or snuff box. With engine turned engraved decoration throughout. Marked with an Austrian silver assay mark for 13 Loth, Vienna, and 1856, along with a maker's mark 'HV'. Simply a lovely silver snuff or card box! Date: 1856 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is persistent oxidation to the interior. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: HV Marks: There is an Austrian silver assay mark for 13 Loth, Vienna, and 1856, along with a maker's mark 'HV'. Fineness: 13 Loth Measurements: Width: ca. 3 in. Depth: ca. 1 7/8 in.
