About the Item

This monumental decorative centerpiece bowl "Garden Of Songbirds" is handcrafted from richly polished natural green jade and adorned with sculptural ornamentation executed in 960 silver and finished in luminous 24 karat gold vermeil. The height of the bowl is 9 cm (3.54 inches) and a diameter of 10.5 cm (4.13 inches), Each bowl is made to order and individually handcrafted by the atelier with exceptional attention to proportion, detail, and structural integrity with the lead time is approximately 4 months from order confirmation. The bowl itself is carved from solid natural green jade, selected for its deep organic tonality and distinctive mineral patterning that gives each piece a unique visual character. The stone is carefully polished to reveal its natural depth and translucency, creating a smooth interior surface and a substantial sculptural presence that allows the jade to function both as a vessel and as a decorative focal point. Encircling the rim, finely modeled branches in 960 silver are finished in radiant 24K gold vermeil and decorated with hand-applied hot enamel. Two delicately sculpted birds perch along the gilded branches, their plumage rendered in translucent enamel tones of soft blue and white. The enamel creates a luminous effect that enhances the dimensional realism of the birds while maintaining the brilliance of the gilded metal. Interwoven among the branches are botanical elements entirely hand-carved from natural gemstones. White blossoms are carved from white jade and set with faceted citrine centers that introduce warm golden highlights. The lower flowers are sculpted from rose quartz and accented with small white sapphires set at their centers, adding subtle brilliance and delicate contrast against the polished jade bowl. The leaves surrounding the branches and flowers are finished with vibrant green hot enamel, creating a lifelike botanical composition that wraps around the bowl and continues into the base. The base itself features additional carved gemstone flowers, enamel leaves, and gilded silver elements executed in 960 silver with a rich 24 karat gold vermeil finish. This continuation of ornamentation creates a cohesive decorative rhythm between the upper rim and the base. Both sculptural and functional, this piece may be used as a serving bowl for sweets or fruit, or displayed as a decorative centerpiece within grand interiors and collections of fine decorative arts. As part of the commission, the client receives a complimentary signed original design sketch, prepared by the atelier and presented as a document of artistic process and provenance. We also create bespoke works on demand, transforming each client’s vision into a one-of-a-kind collectible. From the initial concept and hand-drawn sketches to the final sculptural masterpiece, every stage is guided by precision, artistry, and close collaboration, resulting in objects that are both deeply personal and artistically significant. Each piece is created within the Konforti family atelier, a multi-generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti, and founded by master artists Ella and Yuri Bogoslavsky. Every work is entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques, sculptural metalwork, and meticulous stone setting, continuing a shared artistic legacy shaped across generations. White-glove handling, secure crating to museum standards, and insured delivery will be coordinated based on destination and preferred level of service.
