About the Item

This monumental sculptural candelabra, titled “Imperial Bloom Candelabra,” is conceived as a richly ornamented composition in sterling silver, uniting function with the expressive language of Rococo Revival decorative arts. The design draws inspiration from natural floral forms, with flowing branches, blossoms, and an elevated central bouquet rising into a dynamic and harmonious structure. Each candelabra is made to order and individually handcrafted within our family atelier, with an estimated lead time of approximately 7 months from order confirmation. As part of the creative process, a complimentary signed original design sketch is prepared by the atelier and presented as part of the work’s artistic provenance. The candelabra stands approximately 80 cm in height (31.5 inches) and measures 56 cm in diameter (22.05 inches), with a total weight of approximately 16 kg (35.27 pounds). Its scale and presence position it not only as a functional lighting object, but as a museum level sculptural centerpiece. Executed entirely in hand chased and hand hammered sterling silver, the structure is composed of intricately formed elements refined through traditional silversmithing techniques. Each sculptural component is fully hand carved in wax and then cast in sterling silver using the traditional lost wax technique, allowing the finest details and natural flow of the design to be preserved in metal. The entire piece is handmade from start to finish, reflecting the direct hand of the artist in every element. The central stem rises from a sculptural base into an elaborate network of branching arms, each supporting finely detailed candle holders shaped with subtle engraving and textural refinement to enhance the reflection of light. At the center, a sculptural floral bouquet forms the focal point of the composition, echoing the surrounding botanical motifs. This central arrangement may be replaced with an additional candle holder, and the overall number of candle arms may be adjusted according to preference, allowing the piece to be tailored while preserving the integrity of the design. The composition is enriched with a dense arrangement of lilies, blossoms, and scrolling foliage, sculpted in high relief and further defined through hand chasing. These elements create depth, movement, and a cohesive visual rhythm throughout the piece. The interplay between polished surfaces, hand hammered textures, and finely chased details allows the silver to interact dynamically with light, revealing new nuances from every angle. The base continues the ornamental language, anchoring the composition while maintaining a sense of upward movement. The entire work reads as a continuous organic structure, rising naturally from base to crown. This candelabra is not only a functional lighting object, but a collectible work of art, suitable for display as a centerpiece in both classical and contemporary interiors. We also create bespoke works on demand, with select decorative elements and structural variations adaptable to the client’s preferences while preserving the artistic integrity of the original design. Each piece is created within the Konforti family atelier, a multi generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti, and founded by master artists Ella and Yuri Bogoslavsky. Every work is entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques, including wax carving, lost wax casting, hand chasing, and meticulous finishing, continuing a shared artistic legacy shaped across generations.
