An exceptional 1950s Mid-Century vanity accessory, this refillable lipstick holder is beautifully encrusted with natural Mother of Pearl (MOP) vertical panel inlays. Reflecting the postwar American glamour era, the outer sleeve features shimmering iridescent shell panels set against a gold-tone brass frame. The inner brass bullet mechanism slides out smoothly and retains a remarkably pristine, clean condition with no leftover product. Designed originally for interchangeable lipstick refills, it remains fully functional today for housing custom or standard-size lipstick inserts.
