A fine antique English sterling silver ring stand. By William Comyns. With a scalloped edge and repousse floral designs. The ring nub is monogrammed "ADS". Marked to the base with English hallmarks for Sterling, London, 1888, and William Comyns' maker's mark. Simply a great antique silver ring stand! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is some light edge wear and persistent tarnish to the exterior of the rim. Otherwise, there is some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: William Comyns Marks: Marked to the base with English hallmarks for Sterling, London, 1888, and William Comyns' maker's mark. There is also an etched inventory mark from a previous owner to the base. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 3 5/8 in. Height: ca. 1 1/8 in.
