About the Item

This empire tiara was made out fire gilt metal in 1810. Empire Tiara 1810 fire gilt metal and flowers in brilliant cut crystal The tiara features a pierced border designed as a delicate meandering endless climbing flower. The inner edge of the head ornament to which the comb is fitted shows a diagonally grooved pattern. Underneath the plain upper part we see cut out border of finely chiseled carnations and leaves. Below the carnations we see cut out intertwined garlands of roses and rose buds, grapes and vine leaves that have been riveted onto polished convex fire gilt metal. The comb is made out of silver and impressed with french hall marks.
