Materials: Sterling silver 925 with a Black Patina. About the artist Alejandra Campos Taylor (b. 1987) is a contemporary jewelry designer based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her work emerges from the abstraction of industrial processes, architectural structures, and the counterpoint between function and beauty. Alejandra uses these elements as a vehicle to crystallize spaces of contemplation in her work, as well as a recognition of the subtleties of the materials she employs. Her work converges in that elusive scenario between meaning and form, where her vision is compellingly realized in a language of its own that expresses brutalist and minimalist influences. CamposTaylor, her line of wearable jewelry, seeks to export these abstractions and motifs into pieces for everyday wear. She began her career as an independent jeweler in 2013 after graduating as a Chemical Engineer from ITESO, and completed her Master of Arts degree in Gemstone and Jewelry at the Trier University of Applied Sciences, Idar-Oberstein campus, Germany in 2020.
