An early 20th century sugarloaf sapphire and diamond ring, the cushion-cut sapphire, accompanied by SSEF Report stating that is of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, weighing approximately 2.7 carats, millegrain-set within a cluster of sixteen old-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 0.40 carats, all millegrain-set to a platinum mount, set to openwork shoulders, circa 1920, the head measuring approximately 1.3cm, gross weight 4.0 grams. Finger size M This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as platinum. A classic 20th century ring. This piece features an impressive central sugarloaf cabochon sapphire, which shines with a rich shade of royal blue. The sapphire is surrounded by a frame of lively diamonds which add eye-catching sparkle to the ring. This beautiful piece comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III and lends early twentieth century opulence to the finger.
