About the Item

A stunning, fine and impressive antique 1930's 2.48 carat Ceylon sapphire and 0.96 carat diamond, platinum ring; part of our collection of blue sapphire rings. This stunning, fine and impressive sapphire and diamond ring has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated setting displays a feature central four-claw set 2.48ct round faceted cut Ceylon sapphire. The upper and lower borders of the stunning feature sapphire are each ornamented with three transitional modern brilliant round diamonds, pavé set in a horizontal linear formation. The sapphire is further flanked to each side with two horizontal rows of five graduating pavé set transitional modern brilliant round diamonds, conjoining with the elevated shoulders. The pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank. The outer surface of the ring shank bears the French import hallmark for platinum (masked man); this is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office. This impressive antique ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card. NOTE: * The Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) lab has verbally accredited the sapphire originating in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and verifies that the gemstone shows no evidence of heat treatment. Images do not always reflect the true color and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual color and showcases each stone. Condition This stunning ring is excellent quality, set with a stunning Ceylon sapphire displaying fine color, brilliance and presence. The high color graded diamonds display a fine white color and brilliance. The ring is an excellent gauge of platinum and is in excellent condition with a very clear, deeply struck hallmark to the outer shank. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this stunning antique Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring.
