Gold locket ring. A yellow gold locket ring in the form of a triptych, the central square bezel intricately engraved, hinged with a scalloped panel opening to left and a square panel opening to right, the panels inscribed in italic script to the underside 'In memory of' and 'E. Hunter Died Oct 26 1916', opening to reveal a glass covered original photograph, flanked by trumpeting shaped scrolling shoulders with further engraved detail and leading through to a solid ridged flat shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, Chester hallmark, English, circa 1917. UK finger size P 1/2.
