Black Diamond Heart Ring Angel Wing Black Enamel Open Band J Dauphin Designer: J DAUPHIN The Winged Heart Ring is an open band handcrafted in 14k gold plated silver with hand applied black enamel. A heart set with natural black diamonds sits at the center flanked by a pair of angel wings, and the shoulders carry star motifs each set with a single cut black diamond. It is an open bypass band that adjusts slightly to fit. The winged heart stands for love set free, the wings carrying protection and the heart devotion, with the stars on the shoulders for guidance. The black diamonds are associated with strength and protection, and the black enamel draws on the Victorian memento mori tradition. J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
