Art Deco Boxed Set of 6 Sterling Silver Coffee Bean Spoons by Finnigans Ltd, New Bond St. London An exceptionally smart and complete Art Deco set of six sterling silver demitasse coffee spoons, curated and retailed by the legendary British luxury house Finnigans Ltd.Each spoon features a classic slender stem terminating in an iconic black "coffee bean" finial. Every spoon in the set is robustly crafted, weighing exactly 6 grams for a combined silver weight of 36 grams. The pieces are beautifully preserved within their original presentation case, lined with an elegant gathered cream satin lid liner and a plush black velvet base. The interior silk features the prestigious gilded retail stamp:“FINNIGANS LTD. 18, NEW BOND ST. W. MANCHESTER & LIVERPOOL.”Established in 1830, Finnigans was one of England's premier luxury leather and silverware purveyors. Situated on London's exclusive New Bond Street directly opposite Asprey, the house catered to elite international client lists including the Rockefeller and Ford families. This beautifully presented set is an exquisite example of English silver craft and a highly collectible piece of British retail history. Each reverse of spoon is Hallmarked Birmingham ( anchor ) 1924 ( date Letter ( Z ) with Silversmiths Mark "S L" - Lawerence & Co. who were suppliers of Finnigans retailers of the time. Condition : Pretty Sterling Silver aged Patina visible . All the bakerlite black coffee beans are in very good condition The case is faux Leather . The pretty catch is gilded and the surround is copper which has oxidised over time .
