Autograph Letter by Mario Tozzi to the Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt. Signed. Rome, March 27th 1934. In Italian. In Perfect conditin, including the original envelope. Completely readable with an elegant calligraphy. A superb thank-you letter to the "Noble Woman", the Countess Pecci-Blunt, concerning the Roman exhibition of the Italian artist and his spiritual joy for the purchase of an artwork ( the Cramen's portrait or The Bathers) and for the growing critical success. "Per l'artista, non vi è soddisfazione al mondo che superi quella provocata dal gesto del collezionista avvertito che compra una delle sue opere per porle nella sua casa accanto a quelle che già l'adornano". Mario Tozzi (Frossombrone, 1895, Saint-Jean-du-Gard, 1979) In 1926, the Italian painter, Mario Tozzi found again Licini in Paris and came into contact with the Italian avant-garde painters. He founded the "Groupe des Sept" (known as Les Italiens de Paris) with Campigli, De Pisis, Paresce, De Chirico, Savinio and Severini, a group that quickly acquired international fame. He attended the Caffè in Montparnasse and became friends with Zadkine, Giacometti, Gonzales, Fini and Magnelli. Meet Ozenfant, Lurcat, Max Jacob. In 1935, at the time of this letter, Tozzi continued his intense artistic activity; his artworks were bought by the museums of Grenoble, Paris, Rome, Athens, Berlin, Bern, Budapest, Geneva, Lyon, Mannheim, Moscow, San Paolo. He was awarded with the "Legion of Honor" by the French government. In 1936 he moved to Rome, where he devoted himself to the fresco technique.

We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. The ancient, original document of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany was framed, in recent times, by a skilled Florentine master craftsman who used a frame in precious wood and painted gold. The "Notification" was a public notice issued by the authority to bring to the attention of the population or of the institutions or persons concerned a legislative situation, an administrative act, or a declaration of intent by the authority itself. In 1838 (the year of our document) Italy, still divided into Kingdoms, States, Ducats, was pervaded by a certain form of reformism; the different dukes, princes, etc. flaunting modernism, various programs begin to develop the economy, make the administration efficient, change some laws, intervene in the territory with infrastructures, such as roads, canals, and railways. For this reason, more professionalism, experience, and technical preparation were required for all operators who had to contribute to this change. In the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the Grand Duke Leopold II...
