Nataliia Krykun Still-life Paintings

Ukrainian, b. 1988
Nataliia Krykun, born in 1988, is a Ukrainian contemporary multidisciplinary artist based in Austria. She is known for her bold and expressive use of color. Inspired by the iconic "drip painting" technique made famous by Jackson Pollock, Krykun has developed her unique approach to Abstract Expressionism. Through his artworks, Nataliia explores infinite possibilities within abstract art. Her artworks from the unconscious represent her most authentic self, radiating a sense of freedom and spontaneity, capturing the essence of emotions and movement through cascading layers of paint. With various painting techniques, she doesn't hesitate to do abstract experiments on symbols and emotions, constantly searching for solutions to her self-expression. She has participated in numerous international exhibitions and Art Fairs worldwide, such as La Biennale di Venezia - Pavilion of Ukraine at the 58th International Art Exhibition. The project is entitled "The Shadow of Dream," Art Fair Vilnius 2023, the Krems Museum (Dominican Church), Affordable Art Fair, and Miami Art Week. Her artworks are in private and corporate collections worldwide, including those in the USA, the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.

Still Life Painting of Two Plants on an Orange Table by Fauvist British Artist, Steve Capper Art measures 20 x 28 inches Frame measures 25.5 x 33.5 inches Presented in a high quality black wooden moulding Steve Capper attended Manchester’s High School of Art in 1955, the Manchester College of Art in 1962 and Bretton Hall College in 1965. He taught painting for thirty years as head of a large art faculty in an Oldham comprehensive school, before taking early retirement in 1996 to concentrate on producing his own work. Capper produces on-the-spot sketches which are then taken into his studio where he re-works them into a painting. Both his landscapes and his still-life paintings reflect the influences of the cubists and the fauves. The work of Picasso, Braque and Matisse are amongst his major influences. Capper still lives and works near Oldham, in the Pennines...

Lilac flowers at the door, 1901 uplifting floral still life large oil on canvas

Located in Norwich, GB

Here is a painting that will lift you - one feels happy every time one looks at it. It is such a lovely, unusual twist to the theme of the floral still life: here we have flowers, not in a vase, but attached to a wooden front door. I wonder if the artist did this with actual flowers, perhaps for a sweetheart, and then decided to paint the scene? At any rate: who wouldn't want to come home to find a large bunch of glorious lilac as they come home? The artist is Emile Baudoux (1850 -1929), who studied with Humbert and Cabanel. Paris-born, he liked to work in Normandy, where he had his studio. He exhibited his work at the "Salon des Artistes Français" until 1927, where he obtained a gold medal in 1910. The important oil on canvas presented here, dating from 1901, may have been shown at the Salon, as it bears an exhibition number "30" at the upper right of the canvas. It is signed and dated at the lower left as seen in the photos. Measuring 81 x 60 cm, the overall size including its original large oak frame...
